In2karts was originally conceived to promote karting and provide services to those in the Sutherland Shire. Over many years there has been a slow migration of kart shops to the west of Sydney, leaving Karters in the southern suburbs without access to parts and services that those in the west are currently enjoying. An integral part of In2karts is the promotion of the Italkart brand of chassis. Our main objectives are to:

  • Provide friendly service.
  • Ensure all our customers have a pleasant karting experience.
  • Provide responsible advice based on the customer's budget and expectations.
  • Promote karting as an activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
  • Provide quality equipment and services at affordable prices.
  • Develop both driving and kart preparation skills in all our customers.

About John Goode

An early interest in anything mechanical started when I was about thirteen years of age when mini bikes were just starting to become popular but still too scarce and expensive to buy. This forced me to take on the job of making my own and fortunately, having a father who was a Toolmaker, meant many of my Saturday mornings were spent learning to operate lathes and weld so I could make my various projects. The last minibike I built sold for the same price as a new Deltek Rockhopper. Before leaving school I had progressed to various trail bikes which I usually bought from friends once they had stopped on them. I soon found myself doing complete gearbox and engine rebuilds on anything from BSA bantams to early Honda and Bultaco trail bikes. While this included repairs to both 2 & 4 stroke engines, it was the 2 stroke that I developed a fascination for. By now I had joined the workforce as an apprentice aircraft engine fitter. In the mid seventies I was introduced to karting by a good friend of mine and began racing locally manufactured karts such as Continental and Dominators. These were powered by early DAP T80 & T70 engines which once again I maintained myself. I have helped make a kart engine with Mark Mansell from Mansell Engineering & over the years have built various kart chassis myself. After gaining a trade in aircraft engineering, I went on to complete an Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, have operated a part time engineering business and in recent years have built various 80cc & 125cc gearbox karts for recreational use. I now have a fully equipped workshop and enjoy building karts as much as driving them. Getting involved in karts can be a great day out with your mates or your family and if it's a bit of competition your after then karting can provide a lot more "bang for your bucks" than most other forms of motor racing.
